Professional guidance

Guidelines
& Values

Our approach is inspired by the ethical guidelines of the Guild of Guides Netherlands. Below you can read how we work, what we value and what you can expect from us.

01

Safety always comes first

The physical, emotional and mental safety of every participant has the highest priority.

  • An intake and screening beforehand
  • Attention to medication use and medical contraindications
  • A safe and calm setting
  • Clear guidance during the ceremony
  • Attention to emotional processes and possible challenging experiences
  • Emergency procedures and responsible action when needed
02

Respect, trust and confidentiality

Every participant is treated with respect, attention and without judgment.

What is shared within ceremonies or conversations remains confidential. We create a safe environment in which people are allowed to be themselves and can feel heard and held. Discrimination, boundary-crossing behaviour or disrespect are not accepted.

03

Professional and ethical guidance

We believe ceremony work requires responsibility. That is why we work from:

  • Clear communication
  • Professional boundaries
  • Honesty and transparency
  • Respect for the autonomy of every participant
  • Careful guidance without manipulation or dependency
04

Preparation and integration

A ceremony does not begin on the day itself and does not end there either. Good preparation and integration are essential parts of the process.

  • Setting an intention
  • Emotional preparation
  • Explanation of the process
  • Integration conversations
  • Support in processing insights and experiences
  • Practical translation into daily life
05

Personal development and continuous learning

We continue to develop ourselves as guides. That means:

  • Continuing to learn
  • Self-reflection
  • Peer consultation and supervision
  • First aid certification (present and kept up to date)
  • Gaining knowledge about trauma, consciousness and integration
  • Continuing to work responsibly and carefully
06

Ceremonies are not medical treatment

Our ceremonies, guidance and conversations do not replace medical or psychological treatment.

For psychological complaints, trauma or medical conditions, we always advise consulting a doctor or qualified healthcare professional.

07

The intention of our work

Our intention is to offer a safe space for:

  • Self-inquiry
  • Personal growth
  • Awareness
  • Emotional processing
  • Connection
  • Inner peace and insight
