Finding an integration circle after your ceremony

I’ve written before about why integration is the part that matters most. But how do you actually do that, once the ceremony itself is over and you’re back home?

Why doing it alone isn’t always enough

You can absolutely journal, walk, rest on your own. That helps. But some insights only really land once you share them out loud with people who understand what you’re talking about, without you having to explain everything from scratch. That’s where an integration circle adds something.

What an integration circle actually is

An integration circle is a small, recurring group of people who meet regularly to discuss experiences with psychedelics: what happened, what it stirred up, and most importantly, what you do with it in daily life. Not a therapy group in the clinical sense, but a space with structure and mutual respect.

How to find one

In the Netherlands there are more and more groups like this, often organised by experienced guides or psychedelic communities. Feel free to ask about it during your intake: I regularly point people toward circles I know and trust. There are also international, often English-language, integration groups online, useful if you don’t live in the Netherlands.

If there isn’t a circle nearby

Then one honest conversation with a single person who listens without judging is often enough. That could be a friend, a partner, or an individual integration session with your guide. It’s not about the format. It’s about not sitting alone with something that’s asking for attention.
